Time Travel

It's now a MONTH later. Magic.

It's kind of cool though because it means it's a whole month less of time I have to spend here. And a month from today, I'll be at the airport. YESSSSSSSS.

So what has happened in a month?

1. I've gone through about four or five sets of false nails. I know, I know, they freak me out too, but seeing as I can't seem to stop gnawing at my own stumpy excuses for fingernails, I have to glue nice ones on instead. Which means I spend a lot of my I'm-bored-so-let's-do-something-really-stupid Time gluing my fingers together and pulling them apart. It's fun, ok?

2. I've tidied my bedroom (my temporary one, anyway) over a thousand million times, not that you'd be able to tell. It's a serious mess.

3. I've loaded almost 500 songs onto my Mp3 Cube - the cutest thing ever, by the way - and despite this I'm nowhere near to having everything I want on there. And this is 500 songs even after painstakingly condensing my entire Kate Bush discography and the soundtracks to AVPM/S down to my absolute favourites.

4. I've met two new friends out here in Ireland who are successfully keeping me sane and getting me through what would otherwise have been a horrendously lonely last month.

5. I've been offered a lift on a dark road by a carful of strangers. I politely declined.

6. I've seen The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I. Just... don't even.

7. I've become very excited over a new project by Kristina Horner and Hayley Hoover, and have already started my first draft of the short story I plan to submit. People seem to be getting themselves all steamed up over the fact that we won't be paid for the rights to our work - but for me this is simply the opportunity to actually work with Kristina and Hayley on something that I created. To have them care about a piece of work that came from me. I'm STOKED, you guys. This is so exciting.

8. I've very vaguely planned a project of my own, 'WriNoEighMo', which will hopefully take shape in the coming month and begin on January 1st, 2012.

9. I've had my second burrito from The Little Ass Burrito Bar in Rathmines, where the slogan is, "Looking for a burrito the size of a small child? You've come to the right place." Yes, I finished it. Yes, my jeans popped.

and 10 - (oh crap, I'd better think of a tenth because I can't have a list of nine things; this surely isn't permitted) - erm... I've seen and fangirl-sqeeed at the official trailer for The Hunger Games film. EXCIIIIIIIITED. I recommended the book to my dad, and he loved it so much that he purchased the rest of the series and is therefore currently way ahead of me. I am bitter.

That's whats happened this month. And stuff. I love you guys. I promise not to be quite so aloof in future; I shall return sometime next week. Ha. Daily? Ha.
